Hi all. Here is the site for the new story.

If you couldn’t tell by the title, I will be using the Maxis-made neighborhood of Veronaville for my story. I will be using some of the themes from the Maxis storyline, such as the feuding, but other than that, I plan to completely deviate away from that — note the name Mercutio in the subtitle as opposed to Romeo. That should tell you enough.

There are a few tweaks I made in regard to the sims and their families:

1. If you look in the memories of the Consort Capp sim, you’ll learn that his children were born in this order: Goneril, Regan, Kent, Cordelia. However, given the time period the story is set in, it makes no sense that the youngest daughter has three teenage children while the oldest has one teenager, two kids, and one toddler, the second has no kids, and the son isn’t even married. So here is the new birth order of Consort’s kids: Cordelia, Goneril, Regan, Kent.

2. If you look at the amount of days left each sim has, both Juliette and Hermia are older than their cousin Miranda. However, I chose to make Miranda older than Juliette and Hermia (she is, however, younger than Tybalt).

3. Call me old-fashioned, but… the fact that men marrying into the Capp family are taking their wives’ names wouldn’t really fit with the sort of society I’m trying to portray. So, the Capp family has new last names:

• Consort and Kent are Thebes
• Albany, Goneril, Miranda, Hal, Desdemona, and Ariel are Normans
• Cornwall and Regan are Danes
• Tybalt, Juliette, and Hermia are Gales

4. I went into SimPE and tweaked the DNA. Would you believe that only Kent Capp and Bianca Monty are equipped with enough DNA to have non-random babies? Most of the sims have nothing under the “Skintone” value, so I went and added one for all of them. I also gave them the appropriate recessive hair genes (I didn’t really bother with the eyes).

So yeaaaaaah.

Also, just as a warning, this story is NOT for kids. Not at all. Just wait until you see the workings of the Thebe and Norman families to see exactly why. It’s gross.

Now that that’s out of the way… welcome! Story starts eventually! Yeaaaaaah.
